Job summary

Alten USA is seeking an Interior Alerts Design and Release Engineer to lead component and system design, development, and engineering release for Client production vehicles. The role covers packaging, software/hardware development, and validation from concept to launch, with on-site regional support.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to meet functional objectives, manage DFMEA/DVP&R, and ensure timely release while addressing quality, cost, and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3 years of engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• Mechatronic component design and release experience preferred.
• Understanding of components and physical integration in vehicle.
• Experience with global project management and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Directly involved with supplier design efforts and design reviews to ensure the supplier design meets Client specifications.
• Ensure systems comply with quality, performance, timing, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with advanced team to define and package system designs prior to sourcing.
• Serve as the regional on-site support for Interior Alerting.
• Develop and maintain boundary diagrams, interface matrices, and DFMEA/DVP&R documents.
• Support system integration with surrounding components, network communications, and ECUs.
• Review and approve software/hardware releases and change management artifacts.
