Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking an Exterior Mirror Design and Release Engineer to lead component and system design for Client production vehicles. You will drive from concept through packaging, software/hardware development, virtual analysis, validation, and vehicle launch.

Key duties include coordinating supplier reviews, maintaining design integrity in NX/Teamcenter, and supporting testing, FFMEA/DVP&R, and regulatory compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams on vehicle level

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3–5 years of automotive engineering experience.
• Experience with design release and integration of mechatronic components.
• Proficiency with GD&T and vehicle system integration.
• Familiarity with CAN/LIN networks and automotive calibration tools.

Responsibilities

• Direct supplier design efforts and reviews to meet Client specifications.
• Ensure systems meet quality, performance, timing, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with advanced teams to define and package system designs.
• Serve as regional on-site support for Interior Mirrors.
• Develop DFMEA, DVP&R, and interface diagrams; manage component validation.
