Job summary

Rydell Auto Center is seeking a Body Shop Glass Technician to join our growing team. You will remove and install windshields, prepare surfaces, and ensure safety standards while supporting multiple dealership operations.

You will work with ADAS calibration, OEM procedures, and NOVUS repair, with on-the-job training provided. This role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a path to professional growth within our automotive family.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of auto glass installation experience (collision or mobile glass experience is a plus).
• AGSC Technician certification preferred, or willingness to get it.
• I-CAR training preferred; completion expected to meet OEM certification requirements.
• NOVUS chip repair experience preferred.
• ADAS calibration experience a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install windshields, back glass, door glass, and quarter glass to OEM repair procedures and ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS 002 standards.
• Prepare pinch welds, trim urethane to correct bead height, treat bare metal and rust; use primers correctly.
• Select urethane that fits vehicle and conditions; follow safe drive-away times.
• Consult OEM repair procedures and calibration needs for various makes (GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Stellantis).
• Identify vehicles needing ADAS calibration after glass work and flag for calibration team.
• Assist with static and dynamic calibrations; learn calibration on the job.
• Repair rock chips and short cracks using NOVUS system.
• Remove/install trim, moldings, emblems, cowl panels, mirrors, clips without damage.
• Perform minor paint corrections for collision repairs and recon.
• Document work with photos and notes; verify parts; report hidden damage or extra parts needed.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized work area and follow safety and hazardous-materials rules.
