Job summary

Rydell Auto Center in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Body Shop Glass Technician to join our growing team. You will remove, install, and calibrate auto glass across a variety of vehicles, following OEM procedures and AGRSS standards.

You’ll perform urethane bonding, ADAS calibration prep, and minor paint corrections, while collaborating with the body, paint, and recon teams. Excellent opportunity with company benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years auto glass installation experience (collision or mobile glass a plus).
• AGSC Technician certification preferred, or willingness to get it.
• I-CAR training preferred; you’ll complete I-CAR courses to maintain Gold Class/OEM Certification.
• NOVUS chip repair experience preferred.
• ADAS calibration experience is a plus. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install windshields, back glass, door glass, and quarter glass per OEM procedures and ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS standards.
• Prepare pinch welds: trim urethane, treat bare metal, apply primers.
• Select matching urethane and observe safe drive-away times.
• Consult OEM repair procedures and calibration requirements for multiple brands.
• Identify vehicles needing ADAS calibration and flag for calibration team.
• Assist with static/dynamic calibrations; on-the-job training available.
• Repair rock chips and short cracks using the NOVUS system.
• Remove trim, moldings, emblems, cowl panels, mirrors, and clips without damage.
• Perform minor paint corrections and assist in recon work.
• Document work with photos/notes; verify parts against orders; report damage.
