Zusammenfassung

Rydell Auto Center seeks a Body Shop Glass Technician to join our growing team in Grand Forks. You will remove and install windshields and related glass following OEM procedures while ensuring safe, quality results.

Responsibilities include ADAS-related calibration support, NOVUS repair work, pin weld prep, and material testing. A strong eye for detail and teamwork with estimators and calibration staff are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

• 0-5 years of auto glass installation experience (collision or mobile glass experience is a plus).
• AGSC Technician certification preferred, or willingness to get it.
• I-CAR training preferred. You'll be expected to complete the I-CAR courses that keep us at Gold Class and meet our OEM certification requirements.
• NOVUS chip repair experience preferred.
• ADAS calibration experience is a plus. We'll train the right person.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (needed for dynamic calibrations and moving vehicles).

Aufgaben

• Remove and install windshields, back glass, door glass, and quarter glass to OEM repair procedures and the ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS 002 auto glass safety standard.
• Perform prep of pinch welds, including urethane trimming, rust treatment, and priming.
• Select appropriate urethane and ensure proper application and drive-away times.
• Consult OEM repair procedures and positions statements for various makes.
• Identify vehicles needing ADAS calibration and coordinate with calibration team.
• Assist with static and dynamic calibrations, or learn on the job.
• Repair rock chips and short cracks using the NOVUS system.
• Remove trim, emblems, and components without damage.
• Perform minor paint corrections for collision repairs and recon work.
• Document work with photos and notes, check parts, and report damages.
