Job summary

Rydell Auto Center is seeking a Body Shop Glass Technician to join our growing team in Grand Forks, ND. This role involves removing and installing windshields and glass per OEM procedures and ensuring safe drive-away times.

You will work with our collision and recon teams, perform NOVUS repairs, assist with ADAS calibrations, and help maintain a clean, safe shop while documenting your work with photos and notes.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years of auto glass installation experience (collision or mobile glass a plus).
• AGSC Technician certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
• I-CAR training preferred; expected to complete courses for Gold Class OEM certification.
• NOVUS chip repair experience preferred.
• ADAS calibration experience a plus; on-the-job training provided.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install windshields and glass per OEM repair procedures and ANSI/AGSC/AGRSS standards.
• Prep pinch welds; trim urethane to bead height and treat bare metal.
• Select urethane for vehicle conditions and follow safe drive-away times.
• Lookup OEM repair procedures and calibration requirements (GM, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Stellantis).
• Spot vehicles needing ADAS calibration and flag for calibration team.
• Assist with static and dynamic calibrations and setup targets; on-the-job training available.
• Repair rock chips and short cracks using the NOVUS system.
• Remove and reinstall trim, moldings, emblems, and clips without damage.
• Perform minor paint corrections for collision repairs and recon work.
• Document work with photos/notes; verify parts against order; report damage.
• Keep area clean, safe, and compliant with safety/hazardous-materials rules.
