Job Description

The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro, also called General Service Tech, is an entry-level position. You will undergo comprehensive training covering all aspects of your role. You will perform maintenance services on guest vehicles, working as part of a team to deliver excellent guest experiences and ensure vehicle safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Changing, mounting, and installing tires
• Wheel removal, tire repair and balancing, patching/plugging
• Lubrication and oil changes
• Inspecting and rotating tires
• Basic automotive maintenance such as battery installation
• Training to do alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance

Compensation: The hourly rate ranges from $15 to $17 based on experience, with potential incentives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• Automotive experience
• Own basic mechanic tools or participate in tool purchase program
• Valid driver’s license
• At least 18 years old
• Positive attitude and teamwork skills
• Ability to work with hands overhead, stand for long periods, lift 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Automotive technician or tire experience
