Job summary

DARCARS Lexus of Greenwich is seeking an Automotive Front Desk Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for showroom customers. You will greet visitors, direct them to the right department, answer basic questions, and manage a multi-line switchboard with friendly, professional service.

You will also enter data into tracking systems, take messages, and support sales and service staff with clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• Must speak clearly and be professiona and courteous on calls and in person.
• Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
• Ability to read, understand instructions, and follow policy documents.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Previous customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to sit for long periods and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Must be a team player and able to take direction.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet showroom customers and determine the nature of their visit.
• Direct customers to the correct department or salesperson.
• Answer basic inquiries and route more complex questions.
• Enter data into prospect tracking system and manage switchboard.
• Communicate professionally with callers and minimize on-hold time.
• Take thorough messages with caller details and relay to the right parties.
• Provide general information to callers and maintain telephone roster.
• Perform clerical and accounting duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Serve as showroom greeter and support showroom operations.
• Other duties assigned by management.
