Stellantis in Michigan seeks an EMC Simulation & Design Engineer to co-own the EMI/EMC roadmap, define versatile workflows, and drive correlation campaigns across product lines. You will guide architecture, schematic, and layout decisions to prevent issues before prototype builds.

Advanced modeling and simulation, RF measurement, and lab collaboration are essential, as is mentoring other engineers in EMC methodologies and tools. The role is on-site in Auburn Hills, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from ABET accredited program.
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience applying EMC/RF principles, modeling and simulation, or correlation with test data.
• Experience in EMC testing, RF testing/design, modeling and simulation, or test-to-simulation correlation.

Responsibilities

• Co-own the virtual EMI/EMC roadmap: define modeling architecture and workflows for CE, RE, BCI, RI tests across product lines.
• Build a scalable hybrid simulation workflow: partition problems across quasi-static extraction, PEEC/MTL cable modeling, full-wave 3D EM, and circuit co-simulation.
• Lead correlation and validation campaigns: design correlation experiments and quantify model accuracy with acceptance criteria.
• Provide EMC guidance during architecture, schematic, layout, and mechanical integration to preempt issues before prototypes.
• Partner with test labs and suppliers: align virtual models with fixtures; ensure vendor models are fit for simulation.
• Research and development projects utilizing Vector network analyzer and RF measurement equipment.
• EMC chamber mapping, chamber uniformity, vehicle antenna pattern measurement and matching.
• Correlation studies between vehicle tests, bench tests, and EMC test simulation.
• Instruct/train other engineers in various simulation methodologies and tools development.
