Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Charlottesville, VA seeks a hands-on Service Technician to install, service, troubleshoot, and remove vehicle-based electronic devices, including 12-volt systems, GPS, remote starters, and cameras.

Training is provided and prior experience with automotive electronics is a plus. You will work independently with a team, maintain a clean workspace, train customers, support regional operations, and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with 12-volt automotive electronics including GPS, remote starters, stereos, backup cameras, wiring, or similar equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and remove alcohol monitoring and vehicle electronic devices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
• Conduct customer training sessions and provide phone support to ensure satisfaction.
• Make daily or weekly reminder calls to customers with upcoming appointments.
• Perform monthly inventory audits and assist nearby facilities as needed.
• Manage weekly work hours (≤ 40 hours/week) and communicate with management.
• Uphold confidentiality, data security, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including vehicle-to-vehicle transfers.
