Job summary

Stellantis is seeking an Electrical Systems Validation Engineer to validate electrical systems per test plans for automotive body, audio, active chassis, and safety systems. The role emphasizes extensive CAN testing and traditional electrical lab testing with VHIL/HIL environments and vehicle testing.

The engineer will develop procedures for manual/automated testing, implement tests with HIL equipment, and document execution reports while tracking software updates to fix issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Ability to drive/test vehicles (domestic and international travel up to 20%).
• Execute test procedures per validation guidelines and strategy.
• Analyze results, document incidents, and drive resolution.
• Troubleshoot ECUs, HILs, and test environments.
• Document test environment, automation, and vehicle configuration requirements.
• Familiarity with CAN tools (CANoe/CANalyzer) and FOTA.

Responsibilities

• Validate electrical systems per test plans and procedures for body, audio, active chassis, and safety systems.
• Perform CAN testing and electrical tests in lab and VHIL/HIL environments.
• Develop/testing procedures for manual and automated execution; review reports; track software updates.
• Collaborate with feature owners, engineering, suppliers for defect identification and evidence of elimination.
• Provide feedback to test plans/procedures for continuous improvement.
