The role emphasizes extensive CAN testing and traditional electrical lab testing with VHIL/HIL environments and vehicle testing.
The engineer will develop procedures for manual/automated testing, implement tests with HIL equipment, and document execution reports while tracking software updates to fix issues.
Stellantis is seeking an Electrical Systems Validation Engineer who will be responsible for validating the electrical system based on validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis and/or safety systems.
The Engineer will require the extensive use of CAN testing tools and traditional electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems on some or all test properties: Plywood Buck, Vehicle-Hardware-in-the-Loop (VHIL), subsystem Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), and/or vehicles. For HILs testing, the Engineer may develop procedures for manual and automated execution; implementing and executing tests using HIL equipment; documenting and reviewing execution reports; reporting issues, and tracking software updates to fix issues.
The Engineer may perform vehicle level networking testing and/or FOTA, analyze the data, and validate the integrity of the vehicle system on all properties. This role requires close collaboration with feature owners, engineering, extended teams, and suppliers to develop a strong understanding of the EE functions for early identification of defects and to provide evidence of defect elimination. The Engineer will also provide feedback on the test plans and procedures for continuous improvement.
