Job summary

LEONI Wiring Systems U.K. Ltd. in Troy, Michigan is seeking an experienced E/E harness design engineer to create and maintain automotive schematics for LEONI and customer systems. The role reports to the Harness Design Team Leader in Troy, MI and requires independent work on E/E designs.

You will develop inline listings, perform resistance checks, support DVP&R, and assist in DFMEA and design reviews while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in full vehicle systems engineering (Stellantis preferred).
• Experience in Capital Logic/Integrator or equivalent schematics design tool.
• Proficient English speaking and writing skills.
• Good team work and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Import electrical device and subsystem information and process into schematics (hrn/cmp/csv files).
• Determine inline and splice positioning.
• Create inline listings and pin-out.
• Perform resistance checks to meet system requirements.
• Create system level DVP&R.
• Assist in wire harness troubleshooting for the full vehicle.
• Assist in the performance of relevant engineering tools e.g. DFMEA, Design Reviews.
• Support all customer meetings and requests.

Job Description

Position Overview:

This positions serves LEONI’s North American Development Department with design expertise to create and maintain E/E schematics in LEONI and customer’s systems.The candidate should possess the capabilities to independently process E/E systems designs and to represent LEONI in front of our customers.This position reports directly to our Team Leader Harness Design in Troy, Michigan.
