Inteva Products, LLC is seeking a Product Design Engineer to lead the design, analysis and validation of automotive door latch and actuator systems. You will define requirements, develop innovative, manufacturable solutions, and collaborate across teams to meet performance, packaging, durability, and safety goals.

The role emphasizes cross‑functional teamwork, advanced CAD (NX) modeling, and CAE‑driven design optimization, with travel up to 10% to support programs and suppliers.

Qualificações

• Experience in mechanical or electromechanical product design, automotive closures, latches, actuators.
• Strong mechanism design, kinematics, tolerance stack‑up, force/displacement behavior.
• Proficient in CAD and interpreting analysis results.
• Advanced CAD skills with parametric modelling (NX preferred).
• Ability to work in ambiguous projects and make engineering decisions.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and development of door latch and actuator mechanisms.
• Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and targets.
• Design for safety critical operation and sound quality.
• Develop concepts to improve packaging, part count, reliability, cost.
• Perform kinematic, tolerance, force and motion analyses to support design.
• Support prototype development, lab testing, vehicle integration and launches.
• Plan validation activities: durability, environmental, water intrusion, friction, operating effort.
• Correlate test results with simulations and refine designs.
• Collaborate with systems, manufacturing, quality, safety and suppliers.
• Document design decisions and risks for reviews and approvals.
