Job summary

Sentior, Ltd. seeks a Design and Release Engineer for vehicle closure systems (handles, latches, locks). You will lead HLM design, validate components, and drive cost/weight improvements through the product life cycle.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage suppliers, and prepare system documents, DFMEAs, and DVPRs. Onsite in Dearborn, with domestic and international travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2 years of engineering experience in design, development, or launch of automotive mechanisms.
• Experience with automotive latching systems, body closures, or seat mechanisms.
• CAD capability such as CATIA, 3DX, and Teamcenter; familiarity with CAE tools.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead HLM system design and development within different organizations to deliver requirements and functional deliverables.
• Manage HLM suppliers to meet cost, weight, quality, performance, and timing targets.
• Review and sign off CAD in Teamcenter and maintain FEDEBOM and WERS throughout the life cycle.
• Develop DFMEAs, SCCAF, Boundary Diagrams, P-Diagrams, and DVPRs.
• Lead design reviews and present technical evidence to peers and management.
• Travel to supplier and manufacturing sites as needed.
