Job summary

BMW of Des Moines is seeking an Automotive Detailer to greet customers courteously, assist promptly, and prepare vehicles for service. The role includes cleaning exteriors and interiors, detailing engines, inspecting for defects, and applying protective packages.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with an on-site schedule and supervision by the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate has a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and 1+ years in automotive

Qualifications

• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver’s license in your state of residence.
• 1+ years of automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome all customers in a genuinely friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist all customers promptly
• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.
• Responsible for cleaning of the exterior and interior of the vehicle.
• Clean engine and engine compartments
• Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restoring the appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces.
• Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages.
• Must complete all work assignments according to applicable safety measures.
• Restoring appearance of vehicles to new or like-new condition to the best of your ability.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed.
• Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
