Job summary

BMW of Des Moines, operated by Lithia & Driveway, is seeking an Automotive Detailer to clean and refresh vehicles for service and delivery. You will greet customers warmly, apply protective covers, and ensure interiors and exteriors meet the dealership’s standards.

You should have at least 1 year of detailing experience, a valid driver's license, and a track record of reliable, courteous service. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays and reports to the Operations

Qualifications

• 1+ year of automotive detailing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with service needs.
• Clean exterior and interior of vehicles; install protective covers.
• Inspect and restore vehicle appearance; maintain dealership lot.
• Follow safety guidelines and ensure quality workmanship.

Assist all customers promptlyInstall disposable seat covers, steering wheel cover, and floor mats in vehicles arriving for service.Responsible for cleaning of the exterior and interior of the vehicle.Clean engine and engine compartmentsInspect vehicles for noticeable defects and restoring the appearance of engine are, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces.Responsible for preparation and applications of vehicle protection packages.Must complete all work assignments according to applicable safety measures.Restoring appearance of vehicles to new or like-new condition to the best of your ability.Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed.Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
