ALTEN Technology USA, partnering with Stellantis in Auburn Hills, MI, seeks a Design Release Engineer to own wiper/wash subsystem design, validation, and production release for global vehicle programs.

The role collaborates with BIW, EE, software, and PDO, while managing supplier progress and ensuring quality through DVP&R, DFMEA, and BOM control. On-site support during launches is required.

Formación

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related ABET-accredited discipline.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience as a product, component, or design release engineer in the automotive industry.
• Proven track record in fluidic systems or exterior hardware components.
• Understanding of APQP and PPAP workflows.
• Strong project management, proactive problem-solving, and supplier negotiation skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the engineering design, development, packaging, and production release of wiper and washer subsystems from concept through full volume production.
• Coordinate with BIW, EE, software, and PDO for cross-functional integration.
• Serve as the single point of contact for external suppliers and manage delivery timelines and progress.
• Develop and validate DVP&R and DFMEA to ensure performance and regulatory compliance.
• Draft and track engineering change notices (ECN/ECR) and manage BOM.
• Provide on-site engineering support during pilot builds and production launches.
• Perform root-cause analysis on field warranty data and drive cost and weight optimizations.
