Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Analytics Leadership & Data Governance lead to manage and grow a team of data analysts in Florence, AL. You will drive the analytics roadmap, develop governance standards, and deliver enterprise reporting for Sales, Service, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.

You will partner with executives to translate data into strategic actions, elevate dashboards with Power BI, and accelerate automation while ensuring quality and timely delivery across all locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, BI, reporting, or related field.
• 2+ years leading analytics teams or mentoring analysts.
• Full-time on-site work at Florence, AL corporate office.
• Residence in or near Shoals area with daily commute capability.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Excel, Python, and modern BI tools.
• Experience building and scaling reporting functions or BI initiatives.
• Experience using AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini to improve productivity.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data modeling, and analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability translate complex data into clear business recommendations for leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Data Analysts to foster growth and accountability.
• Prioritize analytics projects and reporting requests to align with goals and operations.
• Establish standards and governance for reporting, data management, and analytics processes.
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development planning for analytics staff.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to identify strategic data opportunities to improve performance.
• Oversee reporting solutions supporting Sales, Service, Finance, Marketing, and Operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of recurring reports and dashboards across dealership locations.
• Partner with department leaders to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and BI needs.
• Guide responses to ad hoc requests while maintaining prioritization and SLAs.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership clearly and actionably.
• Establish data governance standards for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable dashboards using Power BI and related tools.
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline workflows.
• Evaluate new analytics tech and AI tools to improve efficiency and insights.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to enhance reporting infrastructure for long-term initiatives.
