Job summary

Markdom is seeking a hands-on Controls Engineer to support, develop, and improve automated control systems in our automotive manufacturing operations in Pulaski, TN. You will program PLCs, troubleshoot, and implement changes on production lines, helping to optimize injection molding, robotics, and vision-based processes.

The ideal candidate combines plant-floor experience with strong knowledge of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell hardware, HMIs, drives, and networks.

Qualifications

Experience in automotive manufacturing environment.
Hands-on control systems experience.
Experience with PLC programming and automation equipment.

Responsibilities

Program, troubleshoot, modify, and maintain PLC-based control systems for equipment.
Support Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, drives, networks, and related hardware.
Troubleshoot electrical, controls, automation, and communication issues on production lines.
Program and troubleshoot industrial robotic systems for handling, assembly, inspection.
Support injection molding machines and automation including robots and conveyors.
Develop PLC logic, HMI screens, control sequences, alarms, and interfaces.
Troubleshoot servo systems, VFDs, sensors, safety circuits, and networks.
Assist equipment installation, commissioning, debugging, and production launch.
Work with suppliers during machine design, build, runoff, installation, and acceptance.
Review electrical schematics, control panel designs, and equipment control standards.
Support integration of new equipment into existing plant processes.
Assist Engineering and Maintenance with root-cause analysis.
