Qualifications

• Required BSEE or BSME degree.
• 3–5 years of experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs and robots.
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc and ABB robot operations.
• Familiarity with ladder logic, PLC-5, SLC500, ControlLogix, MicroLogix, RIO, Ethernet/IP, and DeviceNet.
• Electrical troubleshooting and ability to read electrical prints.
• Ability to wire industrial control systems and power distribution.
• Willingness to travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and program existing and new plant automation equipment.
• Design and update PLC control systems.
• Program robots and touch up robot points as needed.
• Work with Production and Process Engineering to optimize line flow, cycle times, and quality.
• Travel to sister plants to support projects and activities.
• Maintain project schedules across multiple plant projects.
• Develop preventative maintenance plans for equipment.
• Support automation technology implementations to improve cycle times and quality.
• Train plant technicians and engineers on controls-related skills.
• Create and update plant electrical drawings.
• Troubleshoot vision applications and Cognex In-Sight systems.
• Wire and troubleshoot industrial control systems (480V/120V/24V).
