Jobot in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Sr Controls & Automation Engineer to design electrical hardware, develop PLC/robot/vision/HMI programs, and lead cross-functional projects in an automotive supplier environment.

The role requires a BS in electrical engineering or related field with 8+ years of controls experience, strong PLC experience (Allen-Bradley, OMRON), AutoCAD Electrical, and proven project delivery ability.

Qualifications

BS in electrical engineering or related field; relevant experience considered with AS degree.
8+ years as controls engineer or related role with strong PLC/robotics background.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and industrial control systems.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and deliver results.

Responsibilities

Develop cost estimates for electrical systems including components and install labor.
Design electrical hardware circuits and safety control circuits for automated equipment.
Create electrical drawings and schematics; lead design reviews with multiple teams.
Program PLC/robot/vision/HMI software and debug during build/run.
Provide ongoing technical support and training materials for technicians.
