Job summary

Ford Motor Company is hiring for an Automation and Controls Engineer to support control systems in our Michigan manufacturing plants. You will program and troubleshoot PLC-based automation, HMI interfaces, and FANUC robotics, while ensuring safety and quality during installation, commissioning, and production launches.

You will collaborate with suppliers, plant personnel, and cross-functional teams to optimize processes, implement robust control strategies, and drive continuous improvement on

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent controls/automation experience.
Experience programming and troubleshooting PLC-based automation.
Knowledge of automated equipment commissioning and safety systems.

Responsibilities

Support controls from design to installation, commissioning and launch.
Review supplier controls designs and documentation.
Troubleshoot PLC/HMI, and robot integrations.
Troubleshoot industrial networks and equipment communication issues.
Validate safety systems and operating conditions.
