Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Grand Ledge, Michigan, is seeking a Controls Engineer to maintain PLC-based controls for manufacturing automation and to support plant floor automation for new and existing equipment.

You will join a team focused on continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and production initiatives, with relocation assistance and growth opportunities. A Bachelor's in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics is required along with 5+ years of automotive manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5+ years as Controls Engineer in automotive manufacturing, welding assembly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of PLC, ABB, HMI programming, Fanuc and Motorman.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PLC-based controls systems for manufacturing automation.
• Support plant floor automation for new and existing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical/controls issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to advance lean manufacturing.
