Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a Distribution Sales Representative to grow sales within a geographic territory by interfacing with Napa Company owned/Independent Jobber stores, Direct Jobbers, and Warehouse Distributors to drive new distribution and end-user growth.

Responsibilities include competitive product comparisons, building relationships with jobbers and end users, and delivering consultative sales, product demonstrations, and technical support for automotive refinishing products.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have one year of sales experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Conduct competitive product comparisons and identify competitors’ strengths and weaknesses.
• Initiate relationships with prospective and existing jobbers and end users to identify growth opportunities.
• Leverage value selling to grow sales and profitability across accounts.
• Assess customer needs with a consultative selling approach and develop tailored solutions.
• Acquire knowledge of Sherwin-Williams Automotive products and application techniques.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical and sales support.
• Address customer complaints and oversee resolution.
• Assist customers with mixing systems and inventory levels.
• Support color verification and field color formulations.
• Accompany and assist distribution jobber networks in selling products.
• Manage expenses and sales performance.
• May work in areas with hazardous materials.
