Job summary

Carlex Glass Manufacturing in Michigan seeks a seasoned SI3 DRE to lead the release of fixed and door glass systems, coordinating with body, interior and electrical teams. You will deliver right‑first‑time designs for OEM production, using deep CAD expertise and strong cross‑functional leadership.

This role drives DFMEAs, design reviews, and data release for 2D/3D assemblies, supports prototype and production runs on site, and acts as the single technical liaison with suppliers, plants and OEM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Design/Engineering.
• 5+ years in automotive product design and GD&T.
• Unigraphics required; CATIA a plus.
• Experience with major automotive OEMs and Teamcenter is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead release of fixed and door glass systems for OEM production.
• Coordinate design activity across body, interior and electrical domains.
• Facilitate DFMEAs and Design Reviews with OEMs and cross‑functional teams.
• Release 2D/3D design data with precision and accountability.
• Support prototypes and production builds on site; liaise with plants and suppliers.
