Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support engineering release activities for automotive closure systems and adjoining components.
• Develop and review 3D CAD models ensuring fit, finish and design intent.
• Lead and maintain DFMEA documentation throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Review designs for compliance with engineering standards and design requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to address quality concerns and engineering changes.
• Create and maintain verification records, evidence packages and technical documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, interference checks and cross-functional program meetings.
• Support production readiness, quality objectives and program milestones.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.

Experience Requirements

• Experience supporting automotive component design, product development, or engineering release activities.
• Familiarity with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
• Ability to perform measurements and design reviews using CAD software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software.
• Knowledge of GD&T, design validation, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of automotive closures, body structures, or exterior systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and supplier coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
