Scranton Motors in Vernon, CT is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our BDC team starting October 2026. This true management role requires accountability, process improvement, and turning customer engagement into dealership results.

You will oversee daily performance of BDC Representatives, coach staff, maintain CRM discipline, and collaborate with Sales Management to ensure timely, professional follow-up and appointment setting.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and coaching a team of Business Development Representatives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive lead handling, follow-up, and KPI improvement.
• CRM discipline and data-driven process improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop the Business Development team; establish clear performance expectations.
• Monitor CRM activity and track key KPIs (response time, appointment rates, follow-ups).
• Coordinate with Sales Management to optimize appointment volume and show rates; ensure smooth handoffs to Sales.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop team members; provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
