Job summary

PennEngineering is seeking a driven, self-motivated Business Development Manager covering the Automotive Industry to open new accounts, penetrate Tier 2 and 3 suppliers, and lead engineering support for growth. You will plan and direct business development activities, build relationships with customers, and coordinate with engineering, marketing and product teams to align opportunities.

This is a hybrid role with Mondays on site in Shelby Township, MI; Tuesdays through Fridays are remote for

Qualifications

• 5+ years direct contact experience with Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers.
• Proven ability to open new accounts and drive growth in automotive.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, travel 50%+.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, pursue, and open new accounts with Tier 2/3 suppliers.
• Manage engineering relationships and direct activities at assigned customers.
• Coordinate application engineering to ensure ROI for opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with Regional Account Managers and Applications Engineers.
• Develop account plans in Salesforce for major accounts.
• Collaborate with Marketing and brand leaders to align strategy.
