Job summary

OPmobility Exterior USA LLC in Anderson, SC seeks an Assembly Process Engineer - Bonding to launch and optimize automated bonding lines for exterior automotive components. You will work with robots, adhesive systems, ultrasonic welders, and vision checks to ensure high-volume production readiness.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and about 1 year of engineering experience with similar equipment. Travel to Greer, IL, Spring Hill, TN, Toledo, OH, and local plants is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Materials Engineering or related.
• About 1 year of engineering experience in automation and bonding equipment.
• Experience with robots, ultrasonic welding, and adhesive systems preferred.
• Willingness to travel to multiple plants for installation and start-up.

Responsibilities

• Launch and troubleshoot automated bonding equipment for high-volume production.
• Develop and standardize bonding processes using 2K adhesives.
• Validate surface treatments to ensure adhesion on challenging substrates.
