Scharmach Automotive Group in Tacoma, WA is seeking an Automotive Biller / Billing Clerk to manage vehicle deals from invoicing to posting.

You will review packages, verify prices, taxes and fees, prepare remittances, and coordinate with sales, finance and title teams to ensure proper funding and recording.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or accounting is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive billing, accounting, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle sales processes, DMV regulations, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in dealership management systems and accounting software.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Washington State vehicle registration and title requirements is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Review new and used vehicle deal packages for complete documentation, accurate figures, required signatures, and appropriate approvals.
• Verify that sales prices, trade allowances, payoffs, taxes, fees, incentives, and finance products agree with supporting documents.
• Bill and post vehicle sales in the dealership management system, ensuring transactions are recorded to the correct accounts and vehicle inventory records.
• Review deal postings for accuracy, process approved corrections, and maintain organized records that support account reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Process cancellations for service contracts, GAP coverage, and other finance products, verifying required documentation, calculating applicable refunds, and coordinating payments to customers or lienholders.
• Prepare and reconcile remittances to finance product providers, ensuring amounts agree with dealership records and payments are submitted on time.
• Reconcile lender reserve statements and post related payments, adjustments, and chargebacks to the appropriate accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Post incoming lender funding and reconcile amounts received against deal balances, identifying shortages, fees, or other differences requiring follow-up.
