Job summary

Scharmach Automotive Group in Washington state seeks an experienced Biller to accurately process and finalize vehicle sales transactions, ensuring compliance with dealership policies and regulatory requirements.

You will review new and used deal packages for complete documentation, verify pricing, trade allowances, taxes and fees, post transactions in the DMS, and reconcile postings, coordinating with accounting, title, and finance to move deals forward on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional business or accounting education is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in automotive billing, accounting, or related role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle sales processes, DMV regulations, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review new and used vehicle deal packages for complete documentation, accurate figures, required signatures, and appropriate approvals.
• Verify that sales prices, trade allowances, payoffs, taxes, fees, incentives, and finance products agree with supporting documents.
• Bill and post vehicle sales in the dealership management system, ensuring transactions are recorded to the correct accounts and vehicle inventory records.
• Review deal postings for accuracy, process approved corrections, and maintain organized records that support account reconciliation and month-end closing.
• Process cancellations for service contracts, GAP coverage, and other finance products, verifying required documentation, calculating refunds, and coordinating payments to customers or lienholders.
• Prepare and reconcile remittances to finance product providers, ensuring amounts agree with dealership records and payments are submitted on time.
• Reconcile lender reserve statements and post related payments, adjustments, and chargebacks to the appropriate accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies.
• Post incoming lender funding and reconcile amounts received against deal balances, identifying shortages, fees, or other differences requiring follow-up.
• Coordinate with accounting and title staff to ensure deal information is complete for funding, payoff, and registration processing.
