Job summary

Autoworld Kia, part of Generation Auto Group, is seeking an Assistant Service Manager & Dispatcher to support daily service department operations by assigning repair orders, tracking progress, and ensuring on-time completion. Qualifications

• Previous automotive dealership service experience is required.
• Experience in service dispatching, shop management, or an Assistant Service Manager role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of automotive repair processes and dealership service operations.
• Ability to prioritize multiple repair orders in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and teamwork with technicians and Service Advisors.

As an Assistant Service Manager & Dispatcher at Autoworld Kia, part of the Generation Auto Group collection, you play a key role in supporting daily service department operations by ensuring repair orders are assigned efficiently, technicians remain productive, and vehicles are completed on time. This position is responsible for coordinating shop workflow, dispatching repair orders based on technician skill levels and availability, monitoring repair progress, and assisting the Service Manager with day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to communicate effectively while keeping a busy service department running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist the Service Manager with daily operations of the Service Department.
• Dispatch repair orders to technicians based on skill level, workload, and job priority.
• Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and workflow throughout the day.
• Ensure repair orders are assigned and completed in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts personnel to keep repairs moving efficiently.
• Monitor the status of vehicles in the shop and communicate delays or updates to Service Advisors.
• Assist in managing shop schedules, technician availability, and repair priorities.
• Help identify and resolve workflow issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Ensure repair orders are properly documented and completed according to dealership procedures.
• Assist the Service Manager in maintaining department performance, customer satisfaction, and manufacturer standards.
• Support technicians with workflow questions and help coordinate additional resources when needed.
• Assist with other service department responsibilities as assigned by management.
