Job summary

Ken Garff Automotive Group's Dewey Auto Outlet is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage invoice reviews, payments, and vendor inquiries with accuracy and teamwork. The role supports monthly closings and related AR/AP tasks in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years AP/AR experience, strong MS Office and calculator skills, and excellent communication. A high school diploma or GED is required, college degree preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years AP/AR experience; automotive experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and calculator use.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and an effective problem-solver.
• Advanced computer skills.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Prepare invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
• Audit freight bills against freight manifests.
• Answer all vendor inquiries.
• Analyze vendor accounts and negotiate extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
• Prepare accounts payable checks.
• Print all accounts payable reports and maintain all accounts payable files.
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
• Assist in monthly closings.
• Assist with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.
