Job summary

Bayway Auto Group in Houston, TX is seeking a full-time Accounting Clerk to join our dealership team. The role handles deposits, daily cash postings, dealer trades, A/P, title tracking, and related clerical duties to support sales, service, and parts operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years of accounting assistant experience; dealership experience is a plus. We offer competitive pay, benefits, PTO, 401(k), health and other perks, and a team-focused work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years of accounting assistant experience.
• Dealership experience preferred, but not required.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to location.
• Must be at least 18 years old and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and logs the daily deposit and checks for accuracy.
• Receipts all monies from vehicle sales down payments daily, including credit cards.
• Balances daily cash flow from sales, service and parts.
• Processes dealer trades and wholesales per GM guidelines.
• Issues and tracks dealer plates for sale department.
• Reviews deal folders for electronic scanning and payoff checks.
• Processes dealer trade paperwork and audits related documents.
• Post warranty claims payments and wholesales.
• Post A/P invoices and runs checks.
• Tracks titles and lien releases for inventory.
