The ideal candidate has 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience, proficiency in Excel (lookups, basic formulas), and the ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines while collaborating with sales and office staff.

• Post new vehicle invoices and set up units in inventory.
• Process used vehicle purchases from auctions, private parties, and other sources, including payoffs and title documentation.
• Scan all accounting documents.
• Reconcile new and used vehicle inventory schedules and research out-of-balance items.
• Support floorplan audits and month-end close.
• Maintain organized deal and inventory records in line with retention requirements.
• Assist with other accounting projects as needed.

Requirements:

• 1+ year of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Working knowledge of debits, credits, and account reconciliation
• Proficiency in Excel (lookups, basic formulas, sorting and filtering)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet daily and month-end deadlines
• Clear communication and comfort working with sales, F&I, and office staff
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Automotive dealership accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with AUTOMATE or another dealer management system
