Job summary

ONE SHOT AUTOMATION LLC is seeking a driven Automations Engineer/Project Engineer to lead and deliver cutting-edge automation projects from concept to completion. You will design, program, and integrate automated control systems, coordinating with clients and internal teams to ensure scope, timelines, and quality are met.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on PLC experience (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), strong HMI/SCADA capabilities, and solid project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Hands-on PLC programming with primary vendors (Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and industrial control systems.
• Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automated systems and control solutions for industrial/commercial applications.
• Lead projects from planning through installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and related components.
• Collaborate with clients and teams to define scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Prepare documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and specs.
• Perform site visits and on-site commissioning as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement automated systems and control solutions for industrial and commercial applications


• Manage engineering projects from initial planning and design through installation, commissioning, and closeout


• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other automation components


• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables


• Troubleshoot and resolve automation system issues, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance


• Develop technical documentation including schematics, wiring diagrams, and project specifications


• Conduct site visits, system startups, and on-site commissioning as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)


• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms)


• Proficiency in HMI/SCADA development and industrial control systems


• Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously


• Familiarity with electrical schematics, panel design, and NEC code standards


• Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset


• Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions and team collaboration


• Willingness to travel to job sites as required
