Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Nashua, NH is seeking a Tooling and Automation Engineer to join our High Speed Products Group. You will develop tooling, define processes, and collaborate with suppliers to deploy high-volume automation for connectors and assemblies.

The role focuses on tooling development, process documentation, and cross-functional teamwork within a fast-paced environment, with direct impact on product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Experience with automation, PLCs, machine vision, and electrical controls.
  • Ability to work in a team and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and document assembly tooling for new or existing products, including scope, quoting and validation.
  • Develop and document assembly processes, spare parts lists, and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Define process steps, material handling, process control needs and preliminary layouts.
  • Prepare equipment and systems specifications and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with product development to explore enabling technologies.
  • Assist in defining supply chain from raw material to customer application.
  • Work with IEs to model cycle times, yields and line balance assumptions.
