Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks an Application Tooling Engineer to join the Nashua, NH team. You will lead tooling development for new and existing products, coordinate with product development, and ensure tooling and processes meet specifications and safety standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to deploy tooling from prototyping to high-volume production, with a focus on cost reduction and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with Creo or SolidWorks for tooling design and documentation.
• Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document application tooling for new and existing products.
• Create and maintain assembly processes, spare parts lists, and preventative maintenance.
• Define process steps and sequences of operations.
• Collaborate with product development on DFMs, FMEAs and risk assessment activities.
• Define critical product/process parameters related to documentation and tolerances.
• Evaluate safety and occupational health considerations for processes.
• Propose and implement cost reductions for tooling and processes.
• Support supplier and manufacturing teams in proto and pilot deployments.
