Job summary

Paslin is seeking a skilled Machine Builder to assemble mechanical components for automation tooling systems at our Shelby Township site. The role emphasizes reading engineering drawings, precise assembly, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Will work on-site at Paslin locations (Hoover, 10-Mile, or Cherry Creek in Shelby Twp) with typical hours from 6am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with possible longer days during critical phases and occasional weekend work to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine or tool building experience.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and layout equipment per blueprints.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to operate forklift and crane.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes assembly blueprint and specifications manual, and plans machine building operations.
• Fits and assembles tools, details and other components using engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical manuals.
• Verifies conformance of parts to stock list blueprints using calipers, gauges, and micrometers; identifies issues and recommends adjustments.
• Build assembly components using bolts, pins, clamps, screws, rivets, or other methods.
• Assembles, sets up, and operates machines to verify functioning and conformance to customer specs; may test operation by hand.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure project success.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
