Job summary

Paslin in Shelby Township, MI, is seeking a hands-on Machine Builder for its mechanical assembly team. You will lay out and build components for automation tooling, interpreting drawings and safety standards to ensure quality.

The role requires 2+ years in machine or tool building and the ability to work on-site at Paslin locations, with potential travel to customer sites in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Regular hours are 6am–2:30pm, with overtime possible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine or tool building experience.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and layout equipment.
• Handle and use hand tools safely; follow safety standards.
• Knowledge of mechanical standards and tooling assembly.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes blueprint and specifications to plan machine building operations.
• Fits and assembles tools and components using drawings and specs.
• Verifies parts conformance with stock blueprints using calipers and gauges.
• Builds assembly components with bolts, pins, screws, rivets, etc.
• Assembles and tests machinery to verify function and compliance.
• Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to ensure project success.
