Job summary

Steampunk is seeking an Automated Test Engineer to drive automated testing across client projects. You will design and execute test plans, develop automation scripts, and ensure robust QA through CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires strong Git, Docker/Kubernetes experience, and a background in DevSecOps within Agile environments. You may be involved in security testing and cloud-based data validation as part of mission-critical work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required or 2 years IT experience with a non-IT degree.
• 5+ years with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• 5+ years programming or scripting experience.
• 5+ years of DevSecOps experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; cloud exposure desired.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholder needs and translate to developers.
• Lead testing parameter discussions with product design teams.
• Write test plans, test cases, and QA reports for products.
• Develop and maintain automated testing scripts and CI/CD integration.
• Triage defects and provide bug reports and final QA documentation.
• Build and optimize test data architectures and environments.
• Contribute to DevSecOps practices and tooling improvements.
