Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician for our Alabama warehouse. You will install, maintain, and replace automation systems, troubleshoot components, and provide SME reports to leadership on current capabilities and future opportunities.

The role requires 5+ years in automation/warehousing, strong mechanical and communication skills, and an associate degree or higher in automation-related fields. Base salary ranges from $54,000 to $74,800 with an annual incentive bonus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred in electrical engineering, automation, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in automation and warehousing.
• Experience in a warehouse environment with automation technology.
• Excellent mechanical skills and strong communication.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all environmental, health and safety SOPs, equipment, policies and procedures.
• Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
• Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
• Identify areas for improvement in automated processes and contribute to system upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and other technicians to ensure smooth operation of automated systems.
• Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
