Job summary
Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley is seeking a permanent, full-time Controls/Automation Technician in Kingston, NY. The role involves installing, commissioning, and maintaining automated equipment control systems, including PLCs, with strong electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic expertise.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in controls/automation, knowledge of Allen-Bradley or Omron, and the ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning or repair work.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years’ experience in electrical, electronics, controls/industrial automation, and/or system maintenance.
- Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and controls troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Install automation systems from rough-in to termination and programming.
- Troubleshoot and maintain automation systems in factory.
- Start ups/commissioning at customer sites as needed.
- Fill out commissioning and maintenance documentation.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and contractors.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
- Build hydraulic power units for plant equipment.
