Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 global flooring leader, seeks an experienced maintenance professional to lead operations across multiple production lines. You will optimize machine performance, plan preventive maintenance and implement process improvements while supervising a team of technicians.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in industrial automated settings, strong PLC and electrical skills, and proficiency with diagnostic tools.

Qualifications

Formal training and practical experience in an industrial setting.
Associate’s degree in applied technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience.
7+ years of practical hands-on experience in an industrial automated setting.
Experience with instruments: multi‑meters, oscilloscopes, PLC interface, hydraulic torque wrench and hand tools.
Advanced PLC control logic programming and troubleshooting.
Strong hydraulics, pneumatics and automated material handling knowledge.
Ability to replace/reprogram all drive types within the department.
Advanced mechanical aptitude and project optimization capability.

Responsibilities

Optimizes machine operation, including research, planning and documentation across production lines.
Plans, assists, documents and implements process improvement techniques and devices.
Monitors and reacts to routine maintenance requirements in a timely manner.
Plans and executes routine preventive/predictable maintenance for production lines.
Provides hands-on troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing equipment, including after-hours support.
Leads a determined number of associates and coaches technicians.
Coordinates with outside vendors for parts and service; oversees major work center rebuilds.
Ensures adherence to standard operating procedures and safety rules.
