Job summary

AGI - Ag Growth International in Omaha, NE seeks an Engineering Technician — Technical Expert to support automation for NECO Dryer systems. You will analyze PLC and HMI programs, diagnose controls vs hardware issues, and provide step-by-step solutions.

A hands-on background with control panels and VFDs is required. Responsibilities include collaborating with sales and engineering, troubleshooting PLC/DIG I/O and HMI, and guiding continuous improvement with feedback from customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field; 0–2 years in PLC-based automation.
Associate degree in electrical engineering or automation with 2–5 years hands-on automation experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication; familiarity with electrical schematics and controls.
Experience with PLC and HMI programming preferred.

Responsibilities

Partner with sales and technical experts to support customer and production needs.
Perform customer and field diagnostics of electrical and controls systems.
Understand PLC programs and troubleshooting methods for digital/analog I/O.
Learn VFD parameter setup and apply control insights.
Collaborate with Development Engineering to improve offerings and drive improvement.
