Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Automation Technology or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience as Automation Technician or similar in manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and manuals.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and software issues in automated systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize automation processes.
• Maintain automated machinery and control systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on automated equipment.
• Document maintenance activities and keep records of repairs and modifications.
• Train and support production staff on operation of automated systems.
• Ensure safety standards and regulations are followed in all automation activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends in automation technology.
• Support production to minimize downtime and assist with quality/environmental systems.
• Assist with development of specifications, new tools, processes and training procedures.
• Use root cause analysis to fix downtime and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Champion scrap reduction and lean manufacturing in the area.
