Job summary

SNIPES USA is seeking an Automation Technician to monitor our automation system, address faults, jams and alarms, and perform routine maintenance on material handling equipment. You will work under the Senior Manager, Maintenance and Facilities to ensure minimal downtime and reliable operation.

The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience or an associate degree in electronics or mechanics. Conveyor system knowledge is preferred, and forklift certification is a plus; you should be

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or an Associate’s degree in electronics, mechanics, or similar.
• Maintenance knowledge is required.
• Conveyor system knowledge preferred.
• Must be self-motivated with problem-solving skills and good interpersonal communications.
• Pallet rider and forklift certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Address faults and other issues with automation system to reduce downtime.
• Monitor performance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and calibrate as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance of MHE.
• Conduct basic diagnostic tests and preventative maintenance.
• Implement preventive maintenance tasks on schedule.
• Perform system repairs and replacements as required.
• Use power and hand tools observing safety procedures.
• Update WMMS with work orders, assets, and part usage.
• Develop work instructions as required.
