First Solar in Perrysburg, Ohio seeks an entry‑level Automation Technician to support manufacturing operations. The role covers PLC/HMI programming, electrical troubleshooting, and equipment startup on a PM shift with a rotating 36/48 hour week, including every other Fri–Sun.

Strong diagnostics and redraw interpretation are essential. Minimum 2 years in manufacturing controls or 5+ years with no degree, and a degree in Electrical/Robotics/Industrial Controls is preferred.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing equipment electrical/electronic/controls experience.
• Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Robotics, Industrial Controls, or Electronic Engineering (preferred).
• No Degree - 5+ years verifiable experience in related fields (semiconductors, automotive, etc.).

Responsabilidades

• Support manufacturing facilities and provide remote coverage for global sites.
• Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical control systems for equipment.
• Assist with new equipment installation and MES integration events.
• Maintain and update manufacturing tool drawings and document equipment changes.
• Identify, research and present control-system solutions and improvements.
• Interface with multiple departments and ensure safety and housekeeping standards.
