Job summary

Baker Group is seeking an Automation Technician to provide technical start-up, programming, and commissioning for building automation and control systems. You will work with engineers, technicians, and purchasers to deploy PLC/DDC solutions and create dashboards.

You will mentor Automation Technicians I and II, lead medium-to-large projects, and ensure QA/QC and commissioning logs are properly maintained on site in Clarksville, Arkansas.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of automation-related field experience.
• Associate degree in electronic/technology/automation or equivalent on-the-job experience.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and coordinate with design engineers and purchasers.
• Start-up of microprocessor-based control components including PLC and DDC controllers, sensors, actuators, transducers, and associated components.
• Interpret Sequence of Operations (SOO) and apply to program logic.
• Create automation system graphics and dashboards.
• Point-to-point checkout of wiring and components for proper grounding, polarity, communication and power.
